The hotel is an excellent base for exploring the Angus Glens and all they have to offer – walking, cycling and fantastic scenery are just a few of the reasons to visit. Closer to home is Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre, Montrose Basin Wildlife Reserve and House of Dun.

Steeped in history, Glamis Castle is 40 minutes away and Dundee, which offers attractions like the V&A Museum of Design, Captain Scott’s Antarctic exploration ship RRS Discovery and Verdant Works is a 45 minute drive away. The dramatic Dunottar Castle is a few miles north just outside Stonehaven.

Golfers are spoiled for choice with two golf courses – the 1562 – the fifth oldest course in the world – and The Broomfield, both just a two minute drive away and more than twenty other courses – including the courses at Carnoustie – within a 45 minute drive. The hotel offers a variety of “stay and play” packages or can tailor one to your requirements.
